Head Coach - Liam McCormick
Junior Coach - Zack Zeiler
Although originally from Ontario, I have swam competitively for over 15 years, for several clubs and varsity teams in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Since high school, I have competed at a senior national level, most recently placing 6th in the 50 backstroke at the 2011 Spring Nationals held in Victoria. In 2008, as a member of the University of Calgary Dinos Varsity team, I was on the squad that claimed Calgary’s first Canadian Inter-university Sport Championship title in over a decade. In the fall, I will begin UBC’s Dentistry Program, and will continue to compete for their varsity team, the T-Birds. Outside of the pool I enjoy skiing, video games, and long walks on the beach.
Development Coach - Aysha Curley
Hey, My name is Aysha. I am going to be 18 this summer and I have been involved with the Surrey Sea Lions for about 13 years now. I continue to be involved with this team because it has been a very welcoming, positive and outgoing club.
As a swimmer I am a very talented individual in the pool, and had made Provincial Championship every year since I was 6 years old. I also have many records outstanding in the BCSSA, including 3 provincial records for Div.1 that are still standing.
I have finished my high school years at Kwantlen Park Secondary and I will be lifeguard and coach for a number of years ahead of me while I pursue fitness and leadership courses. I have been a full time coach with the Sea lions for the past 2 years now, and continue to enjoy it very much! I also play Rep hockey during the winter time to keep me fit and active. Swimming has developed my strength and love for physical fitness and also fed my competitive nature.
My goal as a coach to ensure all of my kids have a successful, safe and fun year while developing their desire to return year after year.

Pre Development Coach - Sonal Kaushiuk
Hi, My name is Sonal Kaushik. I go to Simon Fraser University and just finished
my first year. I do love to swim, it is my favorite sport. I have not competed much or swam in a swim club for a long time as I devoted most of my time to completing courses for life guarding. I have been life guarding for two years now and work mostly outdoors during the summer at Hjorth Road pool, and now with SFU recreation's varsity pool, as well as Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex. I love being outdoors, going camping, boating, surfing, swimming, etc.
